New Bridge
The county commissioners have decided to build a new iron bridge across the Loyalhanna at Long Bridge on the line of the L.V.R.R. at the McCance stone quarries. The iron bridge is to replace the old wooden structure now there which is in bad condition. The wooden bridge previous to present one was swept away by a flood of high waters in the spring of 1876 and the present one was built the fall of the same year.
