About the Ligonier Valley Rail Road Association
The Ligonier Valley Rail Road Association is a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation that was organized in 2004 to:
• Preserve the legacy of the Ligonier Valley Rail Road
• Conserve the vestiges of the Ligonier Valley Rail Road
• Collect relics and memorabilia of the Ligonier Valley Rail Road
• Educate the public about the history of railroading in the Ligonier Valley
The Museum is located in a restored, original station that was built in 1896. The restored station was opened as the Ligonier Valley Rail Road Museum in May of 2010.
The Association is supported by members of the "Friends of the Ligonier Valley Rail Road", donations, grants and fund raising activities. We are also supported by Museum admissions and gift shop sales.
Members at all levels will receive a membership card, our Quarterly newsletter the Liggie, free admission to the Museum and a 10% discount on all items that we have for sale.
