New Lumber Mill And Railroad

The Byers-Allen Lumber Company has commenced work in earnest on the new lumber mill and railroad which is being constructed. They have employed a number of men who are now at work along the line of the road from here to the mountain. This road is for the purpose of bringing the logs down to the mill to be manufactured into lumber of various kinds. The lumber mill which is situated on D. R. Marker's farm, the foundation of which is now under course of construction will be an extensive structure. The main building will be 48 by 134 feet. Boiler room 20 by 60 feet with other buildings attached fully meeting the requirements of the large daily output of the mill. Messrs. Byers and Allen are sparing no effort in pushing forward the enterprise as rapidly as possible.
