Byers-Allen Lumber Company
This company is pushing their work of constructing their new lumber mill and building the railroad from the mill to the mountain. The foundation of the mill will soon be completed and work on the frame work commenced this week and in a short time the mill will be ready for the machinery. About 75 more workmen will arrive this week and the road and mill will both be pushed rapidly toward completion. Mr. Byers and Mr. Allen are both good active enterprising business men besides being pleasant and genial gentlemen. Their coming here is the beginning of an enterprise that will be beneficial to this town and vicinity.
