New Sawmill And Railroad
The work of shaping up matters to get the work on the proposed railroad to the mountain beyond Mechanicsburg and the construction of the limber mill near town is moving steadily forward. The engineers are at work locating the road which will soon be completed. All of the machinery and boilers have been contracted for to be used on the lumber mill. The machinery from Mr. Clark, of New York state and the boilers from Mr. Easton of same state. This material is to be delivered by July 20th. We understand that a good substantial road is to be built with six inch face ties and 60 pound rails. Inside of three months we expect to see the mill in operation.
