Items Which Will Interest Both Employer and Employe
Grading on the new railroad at Ligonier will begin this week, when, it is said, about 100 men will be put to work. The line will extend from the terminus of the Ligonier Valley railroad to Mechanicsburg, a distance of about eight miles. The Allen-Byers [Byers-Allen] Lumber Company is moving its saw mill machinery to the Market [Marker] tract, near Ligonier, and will begin operations as soon as practicable.
