Big Picnics
On last Thursday was held the largest picnic of the season at Idlewild. There were 130 coaches furnished by the P.R.R., besides the coaches of the L.V.R.R. were all crowded conveying the local visitors to the grounds. It is estimated that from 8,000 to 10,000 people were present.
Thursday of this week the Reformed Reunion will hold its large picnic. Eleven special trains have been secured to carry the crowds to it that are expected. It is said they will have still a larger crowd than the U.B.
On Thursday, 11th, the Lutherans will picnic at Idlewild and this is always a famous day which calls great crowds of people. There will be about 12 special trains required to convey the people this day. These three days are the three big picnic days of the season and it is expected that from 8,000 to 12,000 people will be present each day.
