The marvelously cheap excursion under the auspices of the Untied Brethren churches and Sunday schools, to Idlewild, on the Ligonier Valley railroad, attracted a large number to take advantage of the days outing. The excursion train arrived at Tyrone at 6:30 this morning already well filled. At this place fully four hundred excursionists joined the party, over a hundred of whom were Tyrone people. Farmers and their families from the surrounding country began arriving in town by wagonloads about daybreak, and many of the excursionists came here from points on the branch roads. The cars were simply packed when they left here and four more coaches had to be added at Altoona.
