Mountain Picnic
First Excursion Over The P. W. & S. Railroad
Last Thursday about forty people of town composed the first picnic of the mountain over the Pittsburg, Westmoreland & Somerset railroad. The party left in the morning about eight o'clock going to the O'Brien camp five miles above Mechanicsburg where they enjoyed a most delightful day returning in the evening. Bales McColly of town was the manager of the picnic and a jolly time was enjoyed by all. The old people renewed their youth for a day and the young drank in the joys of youth. The scenery and beauty of the mountain vastness must be seen to be appreciated. Every lover of nature should make this trip over the P. W. & S. The dinner of the picnickers was something to tempt the
most fastidious epicure. These people were present:
