The borough of Latrobe is having a war with the Ligonier Valley railroad over the placing of street crossings over the tracks at Weldon and Spring streets. Some time ago when the crossings were asked for the railroad company agreed to place the one on Weldon street. The borough authorities refused to accept the one crossing and council passed a resolution authorizing the burgess to have the crossing built. No attempt has yet been made to carry this resolution into effect, but a suit in equity has been filed by the railroad company, which occupied the ground before that part of town was admitted to the borough, and now claims the right of eminent domain.
