Off The Track
Last Saturday evening engineer, W. B. Duncan took the lumber train of the P. W. & S. railroad up to the mountain for a load of logs and shortly after starting down the mountain from the Thomas logging camp beyond Rocky Run the engine jumped the track and all the wheels excepting one left the track, the tender however remaining on the track. It was necessary to leave the train and get assistance to get the engine back on the track. Sunday morning the L.V.R.R. people took an engine up and pulled the P. W. & S. engine back on the track in a few moments. No damage was done except a little to the track.
