The Ligonier Valley road will be extended to the Byers-Allen railroad within the next few weeks. An additional siding will also be constructed in order to meet the increase in business. It is probably that when the summer season opens and the excursion trains are running into the valley an extra train will run to the big sawmills now operated by the Byers-Allen people. This immense plant is considered a curiosity to the people of Western Pennsylvania. A ride into the lumber camps would certainly be an interesting trip. General Manager George Senft is contemplating many improvements and conveniences for the patrons of the Ligonier Valley road the coming summer.
