Beautiful Floral Token
The men of the Ligonier Valley R. R. remembered their dead General Manager Mr. T. A. Mellon, with a beautiful floral token of their love and esteem. The floral piece as a broken shaft 7 feet high and base was 4 feet square built of carnations and roses. The following letter was received by Mr. Geo. Senft, Supt., who had copies made and mailed one to each of the men.

My Dear Friend:
In behalf of myself and family, I must ask you to convey our sincere thanks to our friends on the Ligonier Valley Railroad for the beautiful floral offering sent as a token of their love and esteem for my late husband.
This remembrance of friends is not only touching but it is extremely comforting to us all to know how highly Mr. Mellon was held by those who knew him. With my best wishes for all, I am sincerely and gratefully yours.
Mary C. Mellon
