Pumping Station Improvements
Our reporter spent last Friday afternoon at Millbank, and gathered the following important news. The Standard Oil pumping company, of Millbank, is in charge of G. J. Crowley and J. C. Cauglin, engineers and telegraph operators, and C. W. Cotter, one of the head firemen, they have made some good and necessary improvements at that place. They are putting in the latest approved machinery and have put in cement floors in all the buildings and are now busy repairing the boilers and other machinery. The pumps and other machinery are of the very best and up-to-date in every way. All the buildings are lighted up with electric lights and electric lanterns. All the buildings have been repainted inside and out in the latest styles. The grounds around the pumping station have undergone many improvements and are also being enlarged.
