Mr. J. W. Sloan, general agent of the Ligonier Valley railroad, with headquarters at Pittsburg, was in Altoona yesterday completing arrangements for the Pennsylvania railroad Y. M C. A. picnic which will be held at Idlewild park, Saturday, July 24. A special train will leave this city at 7 oclock Saturday morning. About 800 railroad men and their families are expected to board the train at Altoona. Others will be picked up at Kittanning Point, Gallitzin, Cresson and other stations along the line.
