Superintendent Senft, of the Ligonier Valley railroad, has had a large force of men at work since the good weather set in making improvements at Idlewild park, the famous pleasure resort of the Pennsylvania railroad.
District Passenger Agent Thomas E. Watt says that the artificial lake and the merry-go-round will be especially fine attractions for this season, but there are many other new features that will add to the natural charms of the beautiful place.
On the artificial lake, which is of considerable size. A splendid new electric launch and numerous smaller pleasure boats will be placed. The opening for 1896 will be on May 30, and Chief Clerk Sansom says that indications point to an immense crowd and a glorious time.
