Railroad to Adopt Electric Power
Greensburg, Pa., Jan. 16. The Ligonier Valley railroad company intends to do away with its locomotive power, save in the hauling of heavy freight, and substitute electric motor power. Besides this, it was decided to reduce the fare from 5 to 3 cents per mile. This order went into effect this morning. The road is 10 miles long, from Latrobe to Ligonier.
