Charged with Heavy Embezzlements
Pittsburg, May 20. Morris Long, timekeeper at the large stone quarries of Booth & Flinn, at McCances (sic) station, is under arrest charged with embezzlement. It is alleged that discrepancies amounting to about $30,000 have been discovered. Superintendent Robert McCane (sic), of Pittsburg, and his brother, Alexander, employed at the quarries, have resigned their positions. It is stated that the disclosures will lead to the discharge of seven or eight employes of the firm and the arrest of several others beside Long.
