The Crescent Pipe Line

The Crescent Pipe Line Company is progressing rapidly with the work of laying its line to the seaboard, and unless something unexpected occurs, will be carrying oil by next October. Workmen are now building two pump stations on the line. One at Greggs and the other at Coal Pit station. About 100 miles of the line has been laid, and a gang of 200 men are employed in burying it. The telegraph line which accompanies the pipe line has been built as far east as the Susquehanna river, and will be completed before the pipe line.
