Thos. E. Watt, the passenger agent, says that the excursions to Idlewild were better patronized this year than last by 100 percent. They carried 30,000 people last year and this year so far 60,000, with more excursions yet to run.
The official figures of the L.V.R.R. of tickets sold to the principal picnics are as follows: Lutheran picnic, 3,892 tickets; Reformed picnic, 3,000 tickets; United Brethren, 1,498 tickets; United Presbyterian, 734 tickets. The figures over the P.R.R. have already been given.
The next excursion to Pittsburgh Exhibition will be on Wednesday, September 16 at which time round trip tickers will be sold at half fare with price of admission to Exposition added, on P.R.R. Other excursions, at the same rate, will take place on September 24th, 30th and October 8th.
